The Hungry Fox

there lived a fox in a certain jungle. He was very hungry one day. He came out of his hole and began to move about in search of some prey. He happened to pass by a vineyard. After some time he saw big bunches of grapes hanging down the wall. His mouth began to water, and he decided to eat some. He jumped at them again and again, in order to catch them. But his effort were all in vain. However he wanted to conceal his shame and disappointment. He therefore said as he took his way,” these grapes are very sour. I am not, therefore, prepared to eat them.”

RATS IN COUNCIL

Once there lived many rats in their holes in a certain field. A cat came ther very day in search of her fafourite food .she killed as many of them to her heart’s content. they did not know how to get rid of their enemy .they held a meeting to think over the problem. Many proposals came unther discussion. but they were all turned down for one reason or the other .at last a young rat proposed to tie a bell round her neck , “its ringing” ,said the young rat, ”would tell us that she is coming towards us. This would give us chance to run for our lives”. But who will bell the cat ? “asked an old rat. None could answer this question, and nothing useful come out of their meeting.
